'A dream written down with a date becomes a goal. A goal broken down into steps becomes a plan. A plan backed by action makes your dreams come true.' Greg S. Reid.

New Moons are a great time to start a fresh when it comes to setting intentions or writing down your goals. Creating your own list of answers to the following questions can jump start the process of reclaiming your goals and dreams.

It doesn't have to be complicated because I think that is one reason why people don't start in the first place.

Put this list somewhere you will see it daily – the inside of your wardrobe for every time you open it to grab your clothes, next to your mirror where you brush your hair or clean your teeth or by your bedside for when you wake up in the morning. It doesn’t matter where you put it, as long as you see it regularly.

I'll start you off. Here are 3 questions with five examples for each section.

What are five things I want to do in my lifetime? 1. Learn Tai Chi 2. Take the family to Europe 3. Try salsa dancing 4. Have an amazing Balinese inspired garden 5. Plan a health & wellness retreat

What are five things I want? 1. To live by the water 2. Find my dream job 3. To have a clutter free home 4. Have a massage every other week 5. A healthy mind and body

What are five fantasy experiences I would like to have? 1. Visit the Pyramids in Egypt

2. Walk the red carpet 3. Stay in the best hotel in the world 4. Take a sound healing class 5. Ride on a private plane

Obviously these are dream big questions, but you get the idea. Start with some short term goals. They could be monthly, quarterly or yearly ones.

Declaring a goal helps you to set the intention in your mind.

The next steps for turning your goals into a reality are:

  1. Write it down

  2. Share it

  3. Take a small action step
