Are beautifully created geometric patterns of different crystals that are used for energising and manifesting intentions, goals and dreams.
There is no real right or wrong way when doing a crystal grid. Use your intuition and work with what resonates with you. It’s more about the power of the various crystals once placed together and the energy that they amplify when united.
As long as you have a communicator, surrounding stones, a crystal wand and your intention, then you are set to go.
A communicator (central stone) which sits in the middle of the grid, is usually bigger than the surrounding stones, however it doesn't matter if it's not. Suggestions for a crystal communicator are a generator point, cluster or sphere. Generator points have strong energy as they amplify and project their energy with your intention out into the Universe. A crystal cluster has many points which work together to amplify the energy and send it out to the Universe with your intentions just like a generator. Crystal spheres are wonderful for intention setting as they emanate the energy all at once in every direction.
Choosing your surrounding stones will depend on the intention you are setting for your crystal grid. If it was love related you may like to use rose quartz, rhodonite, moonstone and malachite. For abundance you might use pyrite, citrine, jade and green aventurine. It doesn't have to be complicated, especially when you first start. Only choose 3-4 types of crystals and work with those. I usually add clear quartz in my grids as it amplifies the energy of the other crystals.
Grids may be free form or based on a pattern.
Sacred geometric patterns are popular when it comes to crystal grids, however, you can just go with your gut feeling and make up your own pattern. Recognised patterns that are regularly used include the 'Flower of Life', 'Seed of Life', 'Metatron's Cube', 'Star of David' and the 'Spiral', although there are many more. You can find crystal grid templates online for free and then print them if you want to follow a specific pattern.
Crystal wands focus and direct the energy through their tip and are used to activate your grid once you have your intention and the crystals are in place. When you are connecting the energy of the crystals make sure you are also focusing on your intention. I use either a clear quartz, rose quartz or selenite wand for activation with my crystal grids. I find the energy of these work best for me, depending on what type of grid I am using.
Crystal Grids are wonderful for use in goal and intention setting or manifesting your desires.
Let's walk through how to create one:
Find a sacred space to put your grid where it won’t be disturbed.
Clear the space with sage or diffuse essential oils (Eucalyptus or Lemongrass).
Write your affirmation, intention or goal on a piece of paper and place it in the middle of your grid.
Put your Communicator on top of the paper.
Now place your Surrounding Stones in a layout you have chosen. Do this with intention and care.
Use your Crystal Wand to activate the grid by starting with the Communicator and moving the wand over the surrounding stones and back to the Communicator one by one. Move in a clockwise direction. It's like connecting the dots!
Say your intention out loud while you do this.
Once you are done, sit with your eyes closed for a minute while you visualise your intention as if it has already happened.
Make sure you look at your crystal grid every day to reinforce your intention.
You can leave it up for as long as you want, but I would re-activate it once a week to keep the energy flowing. If your grid has been moved or touched, you will also need to re-activate the energy as it will have been disrupted.
Crystal Grids can be used in so many ways.
Crystal grids are not limited to using them on a table for 'setting your intentions', they are also useful during meditation, ritual practices and Crystal Healing sessions. For in-person healing sessions they are laid upon the client and/or around them. Depending on the intention for the session and what the client's healing needs are, will dictate the type of grid that the healer will use. For distance healing sessions, grids are extremely helpful in channelling the energy to the client.
